“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
Benjamin Franklin
It turns out he was exactly right. Last week went off the rails a bit after I hurt my neck. I didn’t have a solid plan for the week or any prep done and I didn’t have a contingency plan for emergencies at all. While it’s true that I couldn’t predict that I would wake up in excruciating pain unable to move my head, I can safely assume that life is going to get in the way with fair regularity. I am going to put together a list of cost-effective meals and takeout options for the future.
The biggest factor that had contributed to my previous success, besides enthusiasm, was planning. Last week is behind us and my neck is on the mend so it’s time to look ahead to the last week in January. I would really like to end strong so we can go into Frugal February like champs.
Do your thrifty best!
